Overview
In the year 1585, Elizabeth I of Great Britain sent the Earl of Leicester with 6,000 men across the North Sea to abort the advance of the Spanish. The intervention, however, was a disaster. It was in those days that the Earl honoured us with a visit. He was a party animal: prior to his arrival, no fewer than 22 kegs of beer were ordered.
